Limehurst Angling Club is run by anglers for anglers with the interests of our fish and our surroundings the upmost priority. Here at Limehurst we are extremely fortunate to be blessed with such beautiful surroundings to our waters, which are set in the middle of Daisy Nook Country Park just 2 miles from Ashton Under-Lyne. You can find peace and tranquillity with a good day’s fishing.

Limehurst Angling Club was formed in 1969 by 4 local anglers who were looking for a local water to call their own. Mike Hilton, Brian Fletcher, David Howarth and Albert Brooks managed to convince the local farmer who owned the Limehurst land to allow them to fish his pools. This land was later sold to developers but by this time the club was up and running with 35 members.

Today Mike Hilton is Life president of the club, our membership has grown in excess of 100 members and is very healthy and thriving especially with its match fishing side which boasts 37 regular anglers all competing to become club champion.
