Limehurst AC has a long tradition of Match fishing dating back to the 1990’s, today the club runs a 10 match summer series fished on top class commercial fisheries usually within a hour’s drive of Tameside. The season runs from the end of March until the fur and feather in October, we fish a festival style league based on sections wins rather than overall match winners, this we feel gives the club an even spread of anglers collecting an envelope at the end of a match and makes for a very strong league right to the end of the season. The club champion is selected from the best 8 results from the 10 matches of the season.

1st and 2nd placed anglers are chosen to represent the club at the prestigious Garbolino Club Angler of the year event held in April. We are a friendly group of anglers sporting a wide range of abilities from novice to decent open type match anglers, our matches are always fished with a light hearted approach and a good level of friendly banter.
